Daily Thoughts
-Kentucky was expected to pay a visit to Thon Maker once again. They have been pushing real hard for him recently and if Maker eventually ends up there, then that has to be good news in the Thomas Bryant department. Bryant has stated not too long ago that he isn't interested in being a bench warmer on the next level. Well with Skal Labissiere, a top 5 big already committed, along with the possible addition of Maker, and add other bigs that might return such as Marcus Lee and Dakari Johnson, you'll have to assume that situation will become very unattractive for the big man from Rochester.

Mike Hopkins in Rochester Blue Cross Arena to see Bishop Kearney's Quinton Rose tonight, a 2016 PG
For those not familiar with Q. Rose. He has been somebody that the SU staff has been monitoring for over the past year. He's a 6'5 combo guard, who is known to be an athletic slasher. His jump shot is noted for an area of improvement, but he has plenty of time to get that weakness corrected.

-Something interesting crossed my mind recently. I remember years ago when there was a local HS event that was put on at Manley that featured games with the 2007 commits and other recruiting targets. Fans got a chance to see players like Scoop Jardine, Rick Jackson, and Donte Greene up front and close. Plus the night cap featured what most that attended called a classic duel between Jonny Flynn and Brandon Triche. I was wondering why events like that haven't happened recently when SU has big incoming classes arriving and other targets to showcase? Just imagine if there was a local showcase event that took place this season. You could've had matchups like Pope John (Diagne) vs New Hampton (Lydon), Trenton Catholic (Richardson) vs Paul VI (Howard), Gahanna Lincoln (Moyer) vs Gill St. Bernard's (Battle), and a sneak peek into the future with a PG battle between Nottingham and local favorite Malik Zachery vs the highly touted Trevon Duval of St. Benedict's.
