Tweets and Thoughts on Malachi Richardson
Big pickup for Syracuse, who came in late to beat Indiana for Malachi Richardson. The 2015 SG is a great scorer/shooter with a high IQ.

Syracuse & Boeheim pretty much written the book on focusing on a few areas and being very successful. Philly, B-more. Northern Jersey/NYC

And obviously, Syracuse has done a good job of keeping the "local" talent home. National power, regional recruiters. Impressive.

Syracuse continues to raid the Garden State for its best players. Malachi Richardson today after Tylers Ennis & Roberson last year.

Early commitments of Tyler Lydon & Malachi Richardson give Syracuse #1 ranked 2015 recruiting class. OSU & LSU follow

  1. Interesting that Zags says Briscoe is still a possibility. I don't see there being room, but I suppose if Ennis went pro it could work.

    1. Exactly. The staff hasn't shown any interest in Briscoe since the beginning of this past summer. Plus he's visiting for the SJU game on Sunday but was invited by SJU. If Team Briscoe gets the sense that Ennis could leave early then maybe mutual interest could spark back up again.

  2. Do you see the staff's priorities going forward as one forward (Bryant/Jones) and one center (Diallo/Diange/Silva)? Seems like center is the bigger hole to fill with only Coleman/Obokoh locked in for the '15-16 season. Forward could be crowded or not depending on how things shake out with Grant/Gbinije/Roberson/Johnson/McCullough

    1. Right now when it comes to 2015 there is a bit of a numbers crunch with currently no ships available to offer. We have to see if either Grant goes pro or somebody transfers opening up a spot. I think eventually one will become available and the focus will be to get a big. Thomas Bryant has been playing the 5 at Huntington Prep and already measures out at 225lbs with a freakish 7'5 wingspan. He should be bigger and stronger than that when he hits college. So I think eventually you can add him to that Diallo/Diagne/Silva list. Getting Bryant would be like killing two birds with one stone because he can play both the 4 and 5.

    2. Yes, it'll be interesting to see how that will play out on the recruiting trail. Hard to say what will happen with Grant and the draft. Wouldn't really be surprised either way. As for a transfer, also hard to predict. I like Bus Patterson a lot, but he's got a very tough situation fighting for playing time the next 3 years.
